We are collaborating with Auckland Council’s Sustainable Schools team to partner with schools on projects to protect the environment. This might include working with staff and students to carry out native planting and predator and pest plant control on school grounds, or engaging the local community with one of our three core catchment-scale programmes: predator eradication, stream restoration, and pest plant control. Schools can also get involved with our environmental citizen science projects to make science education more relevant and engaging and to develop students’ science capabilities.
